I live in Vancouver, Washington with a carb-addicted cat named Pebbles. Needless to say, Pebbles is fat.

Pebbles favorite past time is to sit on my lap.

My favorite past time is to go out for hikes on trails.

Dirt path leading uphill through greenery.

Beautiful isn't it?!

This is half way through a 15 mile hike. In the middle of the hike and during a 3 mile uphill section, I totally bonked: no energy: none, zero, nada. I could take 10 steps but then had to stop. This 3 mile section took 3 hours to complete.

I sarcastically asked God to pick me up and carry me: what I got was a breeze, a yellow butterfly, and the determination to take 10 more steps.

It took me 7 hours to walk that 15 mile loop.

God works in His own way.

God

Grant me the serenity

Courage to change the things I can;

And wisdom to know the difference.
